Estimator / Quantity Surveyor

Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years experience as an Estimator
- Excellent Mathematical skills
- Ability to review blueprints and constructions plans
- Occasional site visits, involving exposure to construction environments
Duties
- Analyse blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
- Develop accurate cost estimates for labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
- Review and evaluate bids from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
- Prepare detailed bid proposals, including cost breakdowns, schedules, and scope of work.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to refine project scopes and clarify specifications
- Ensure all proposals meet company standards and client requirements.
- Research current market conditions, material costs, and labour rates.
- Maintain a network of industry contacts to gather relevant data and stay informed about industry trends.
- Maintain accurate records of all estimates, proposals, and related documentation.
- Provide detailed reports and summaries of estimates for review by management.
- Track and analyse project costs and profitability to identify areas for improvement
- Communicate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather information and address any queries.
- Present estimates and proposals to clients and stakeholders clearly and professionally
- Assist in the transition from estimation to project execution by providing necessary documentation and support.
- Review project progress and costs during construction to ensure alignment with the initial estimate.
