Estate Manager - Johannesburg, South Africa - Oversee 35 staff across 3 locations

A truly global partner of Greycoat Lumleys is seeking an Estate Manager to oversee the staff & operations of 3 locations based in and around Johannesburg, South Africa. Our client is seeking only those with UHNW experience in a similar role, ideally managing residences in the UK, Europe or the USA.

Duties:
  • This is a leadership role, managing a diverse workforce of circa 35 employees across 3 locations
  • All the systems, processes and dynamics of the estate will need a fresh overhaul, with the majority of the initial work in putting systems and structures in place
  • Even though a senior appointment, this is a hands-on role, working with an established and loyal staff
  • Must take an active role in the upkeep of the main house, assisting the House Manager
  • Coaching, training and development of existing staff
  • Recruiting additional, replacement and short term staff when required
  • Estate administration and procurement
  • Reporting directly to the global Chief of Staff and the Principals
To be considered:
  • Must be a natural Leader, with gravitas and a background of high calibre appointments
  • Must be South African or hold a long-term valid work permit
  • Must have experience setting up new residences / estates
  • Must have experience managing multiple residences / locations
  • Must be a Driver
  • Have no personal commitments to other regions in South Africa; you will be based, live and work on the estate
  • Must be an empathetic, hands-on leader with a coaching, nurturing style
Benefits:
  • Salary is negotiable, although circa £70,000 per annum (147,000 ZAR Gross per month)
