ESL Teacher : Role & Responsibilities

  • Deliver scheduled contact hours as assigned by the academic office
  • Provide engaging, high-quality lessons using EF’s blended learning approach
  • Prepare relevant class materials, including syllabi for special interest classes, handouts, quizzes, and assignments
  • Complete all required admin tasks accurately and on time
  • Support students by answering questions and coordinating with other departments as needed
  • Attend and participate in teacher meetings, training sessions, and development activities
  • Take part in classroom observations and feedback sessions
  • Develop and use supplementary materials in line with EF guidelines to meet learner needs
  • Collaborate with academic and support staff to monitor and enhance student progress

Requirements

  • Matric certificate (high school completion)
  • Bachelor’s Degree (any field)
  • A minimum 160-hour TEFL (including 6 hours observed teaching) certificate with 1–3 years of teaching experience
  • CELTA or CertTESOL qualifications are advantageous but not required. We welcome applications from all qualified TEFL holders.
