Job description

EQT Foundation Launches Global Grants Program for Solutions in Women's Health

EQT Foundation has opened applications for its Breakthrough Science grants program, offering funding between €25,000 and €100,000 to support deeptech innovations addressing female-specific health challenges.

This global call targets pioneering researchers focused on developing groundbreaking diagnostics, therapeutics, and technologies to close long-standing gaps in women's healthcare. Despite women comprising over half the world's population, only a fraction of healthcare innovation funding targets female-specific conditions.

Many diseases—including cardiovascular, autoimmune, and gynecological disorders—are under-researched, often leading to misdiagnoses, limited treatment options, and poor health outcomes. These disparities are particularly acute in low-resource settings.

The Breakthrough Science program is open to scientists from accredited institutions worldwide and prioritizes projects in the following areas:

  1. Advanced diagnostics for conditions such as endometriosis, cardiovascular diseases, and autoimmune disorders that manifest differently in women
  2. Non-hormonal therapeutics for menstrual health, menopause, and gynecological issues
  3. Female-focused deeptech innovations that improve the accessibility, affordability, and effectiveness of care
  4. Maternal health solutions addressing complications like pre-eclampsia and pre-term birth, with applicability across both high- and low-resource healthcare environments

In addition to financial support, EQT Foundation offers awardees access to EQT's global network of industry partners, commercialization pathways, and expert mentorship to help transition innovations from lab to market.

Application Deadline: April 27, 23:59 CET

Finalists will undergo a second-stage interview, with grants awarded in early June.
