Placements24 is seeking an experienced Environmental Services Officer to oversee sanitation operations in Durban. You will lead a team, manage resources, and ensure facilities meet stringent hygiene standards to protect public health and operational integrity.

Reporting to the operations lead, you will develop policies, supervise audits, procure supplies, and train staff on safety protocols and cleaning technologies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in environmental services management or supervisory role.
• Good knowledge of sanitation, infection control and waste management.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities for team guidance.
• Experience with monitoring tools and accurate record-keeping.
• Certification in relevant health and safety protocols is desirable.
