Environmental Facilitator

Southern Cross Schools is a co-educational, independent day and boarding school nestled within a private wildlife estate. As an ISASA member school offering the IEB curriculum from Pre-school to Grade 12, we are proud to integrate environmental awareness into all aspects of our learning journey.

We are searching for an exceptional individual to fill a critical role in our school community. Someone with a deep passion for the environment, a natural ability to connect with children across all age groups, and the skills to translate our beautiful natural setting into meaningful, memorable learning experiences.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• A recognised and relevant qualification. A teaching qualification (B.Ed./PGCE/National Diploma) would be advantageous but not essential.
• Valid SACE registration (if applicable).
• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in spoken and written English.
• A valid driver’s licence. A PrDP is required.

• Is passionate about developing the whole-child while fostering a connection to the environment.
• Has energy, creativity, and a love for the outdoors.
• Enjoys working with children of all ages from our youngest pre-schoolers to our College young adults.
• Is willing to contribute to the full life of the school, including extra-mural programmes.
• Works well within a collaborative and enthusiastic team.
