Job summary

A leading company in the environmental sector is looking for an Environmental Consultant. The candidate will be responsible for drafting statutory reports, conducting audits, and managing projects related to Environmental Impact Assessments. Applicants should have a Post Graduate degree in Environmental Science and a strong understanding of environmental legislation. This role requires excellent communication skills and readiness to travel for site assessments.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-4 years in the Environmental Impact Assessment Field.
  • EAPASA registered required.
  • Valid driver’s license and own vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Drafting statutory documents and reports required by legislation.
  • Conducting Environmental Audits and Public Participation Processes.
  • Acting as a direct link between clients and various State Departments.

Job description:
• Drafting of S&EIR, BAR & EMPr or any other statutory documents and reports as required by legislation
• Drafting of Environmental Rectification Applications (24G)
• Compilation of Waste Licence Application
• Conduct Public Participation Process (PPP)
• Conduct Environmental Audits
• Direct link between clients and various State Departments e.g., DMRE, DWS, DFFE, etc.
• Project management and Admin
• Know how to use DFFE Screening Tool
• Compiling EA Applications
• Compiling Quotations
• Liaise with Specialists

Qualifications/Experience Required:
• Post Graduate degree in Environmental Science/ Management or any similar fields.
• Knowledgeable in Environmental Legislation such as NEMA, NWA, NEM:WA and NEM:AQA
• A good understanding of the whole EIA process (S&EIR, BAR & 24G process)
• Understanding of Environmental regulatory processes (including but not limited to EIA, WUL, BAR, EMP)
• Strong communication skills and technical writing skill
• Willingness to travel
• Valid driver’s license and have own vehicle
• EAPASA registered
• Minimum 3-4 years of working in the Environmental Impact Assessment Field
