We are looking for an Environmental andMining Legal Consultant to join our team. This role offers the opportunity toadvise clients on complex environmental and mining law matters and tocontribute legal expertise to large, integrated and multidisciplinary projects.
The successful candidate will providestrategic legal advice, lead and support compliance and risk assessments,coordinate regulatory processes and help clients develop practical risk andliability management strategies. The role combines strong environmental andmining law expertise with project management, commercial awareness and trustedclient engagement.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver multiple project tasksor work streams, including the preparation of proposals.
- Provide strategic environmentaland mining legal advice and project management services on largemultidisciplinary projects.
- Conduct environmental andmining legal audits and compile clear findings, recommendations andimplementation actions.
- Lead and support environmentaland mining legal risk assessments.
- Work with clients to developpractical risk and liability management strategies.
- Prepare environmental legalcompliance assessments and registers.
- Conduct environmental legal duediligence investigations for commercial transactions.
- Draft contaminated-land sale,remediation and other liability-transfer agreements.
- Provide sound legal advice onenvironmental and mining legislation and related regulatory requirements.
- Advise on and coordinateapplications for environmental and mining permits, authorisations and licences.
- Assist with administrativerepresentations, objections and appeals.
- Participate in and supportenvironmental and mining litigation matters.
- Advise clients on auditfindings and support the implementation of corrective actions.
- Develop and deliver clienttraining on current and emerging environmental and mining law requirements.
- Network and build strongprofessional relationships with clients and other market partners.

Qualifications
- LLB or equivalent legal degree.
- A qualification inEnvironmental Management would be advantageous.
- A Project ManagementCertificate would be beneficial.
Experience
- Five to eight years’ relevantexperience in environmental and mining law.
- Consulting experience isrequired.
- Experience advising clients onoccupational health and safety legislation would be advantageous.
- Experience in the resourcessector would be beneficial.
