Job description

We Do Not Offer Sponsorship For This Role. The successful candidate will be part of a team that is responsible for delivering a comprehensive and efficient service for the Reception / Control Room on a day-to-day basis.

The candidate will be responsible for the delivery of security services through the operation of Access Control, CCTV, X-ray, and radio communications.

This post is exempt from the Sex Discrimination Act 7 by reasons of decency or privacy as it is likely to involve physical contact with women in the circumstances where they might reasonably object to its being carried out by a member of the opposite sex.

Main Duties of the Job

Candidates will need to demonstrate excellent communication and observation skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Knowledge and experience of search procedures, visitor management systems, CCTV, customer service, and computerized records would be useful, but not essential.

Qualifications

  1. Educated to secondary school standards

Knowledge / experience

  1. Working in a service that is a support service where security is of major importance.

Customer Service experience

Experience

  1. Good communication skills, with the ability to maintain a positive approach under pressure
  2. Ability to act with appropriate initiative and sensitivity - with full regard to confidentiality - under a wide variety of circumstances.
  3. Observant and alert, with a thorough approach to work.

Knowledge

  1. Reasonable knowledge / experience of IT databases such as Microsoft Word and Excel, plus relevant keyboard skills
  2. Ability to work on your own or within a team
  3. Standard of written and verbal communication skills
  4. Identifying risks
  5. Interpersonal skills
  6. Good organizational and administrative skills
  7. Experience of working and implementing changes in accordance with new regulations, protocols, policies, and procedures
  8. Ability to maintain a high level of concentration.
  9. Working knowledge of the National Clinical Security Framework
  10. Working knowledge of Broadmoor specific security policies / local operational & emergency procedures

Other Requirements

  1. Required to undertake Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression (PMVA) teamwork training
  2. Ability to work night duty and weekends including bank holidays
  3. Disclosure and Barring Service Check

£28,000 to £30,000 a year Per Annum Inclusive of Allowances
