Job summary

Financial Intelligence Centre in Centurion seeks a senior ICT Architect to analyse, design and enhance enterprise systems ensuring delivery aligns with business needs and security standards.

You will translate business requirements into technical specifications, define architectures, and lead the development of proof-of-concept and deployment plans while collaborating with ICT teams and stakeholders to drive viable solutions.

Qualifications

• BSc or BTech in computer science or equivalent.
• TOGAF certification desirable.
• Minimum six years’ experience in ICT software development environment.
• Minimum six years’ experience in designing enterprise-wide software solutions.
• Experience using modelling tools and BPMN/UML notation.
• Minimum five years’ experience in object-oriented design patterns.
• Minimum five years’ experience in the use of different software development methodologies.
• Solid understanding of overall architecture and design patterns.
• Adequate experience and knowledge of system and application integration.
• Adequate experience and knowledge on development frameworks and patterns.
• Ability to perform technical analysis including data, off-the-shelf applications and technical infrastructure.
• Experience in Enterprise Architecture tools like Casewise.

Responsibilities

• Analyse, design and enhance systems to meet project delivery levels.
• Understand business requirements and organisation processes.
• Define physical architecture for proposed solutions and create functional specifications.
• Assist in drafting TORs for RFPs and procure services.
• Translate requirements into technical specifications and artefacts.
• Analyse and document interfaces between legacy and new systems.
• Design application, middleware, database tiers and security models.
• Provide inputs into architecture deliverables across domains.
• Develop deployment models aligned with FIC processes.
• Obtain stakeholder buy-in and resolve cross-area issues.
• Maintain and support production designs and operational processes.
