Job summary

Amazon in South Africa is hiring a Solutions Architect to work with enterprise customers across industries to transform their business with AI and cloud technologies.

This technical role requires breadth across Generative AI, infrastructure, security, DevOps, databases, and data analytics, with deep expertise in at least two areas. You will partner with AWS teams to design reliable, cost-effective cloud-native architectures and articulate business value to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.
• 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
• 5+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience.

Responsibilities

• In partnership with the Business Development team, formulate and execute a sales strategy to exceed revenue objectives through the adoption of AWS
• As a key member of the solutions architecture team, ensure success in building, migrating and modernising applications, software and services on the AWS cloud and AI platform
• Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS, and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud
• Conduct one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or already using AWS (i.e Dev Days or Immersion Days)
• Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS Solutions Architect community
• Contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as white papers
• Act as a technical liaison between customers, Service Teams and Support
