Job summary

Travelbyinvestec in South Africa is seeking 3 Solutions Architects for our Central Services IT and Private Banking Technology teams. You will define and govern end-to-end technology solutions that align with enterprise standards and business strategy.

You will provide architectural leadership across the solution lifecycle, partnering with business and tech stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, secure and resilient designs across cloud, data and integration domains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in CS/IS/Engineering or related field.
• 8-10+ years in software engineering or solution architecture.
• Experience designing enterprise-scale solutions across cloud, integration, data and apps.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably Azure and Oracle.
• Experience with architecture governance frameworks and standards.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience in financial services or regulated industries.
• Familiarity with TOGAF, BIZBOK, DM-BOK, BIAN or Zachman.
• Relevant architecture or cloud certifications.
• Exposure to AI and modern integration architectures.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end solution architecture, ensuring alignment between business objectives, technology strategy and delivery outcomes.
• Define and maintain architecture roadmaps, target-state architectures and solution blueprints.
• Provide architectural leadership and guidance to engineering, delivery and business teams.
• Design solutions that are secure, scalable, resilient, cost-effective and aligned to governance standards.
• Define appropriate integration, data and technology patterns across enterprise systems and platforms.
• Facilitate architecture discussions, manage technology trade-offs and communicate architectural decisions to stakeholders.
• Produce and maintain architecture artefacts, standards and governance documentation.
• Contribute to architecture best practice, technology innovation and continuous improvement.
