Job description

Exciting opportunity within leading international telecommunications Company for a seasoned sales hunter.

The emphasis of this position is on hunting (not farming). Our client requires a minimum of 5 + years' in a Corporate and Enterprise sales environment with a good network across regional corporate and enterprise customers, with good sales and technical knowledge of WAN Solutions - including SDN technologies, SDWAN, IP networking, edge cloud & security, together with demonstrable expertise in complex solution selling.

POSITION INFO :

The person will be responsible for delivering growth in revenue from existing customers and on-boarding new customers in the region.

You will be the Customer champion and the face of the Company in ensuring customer satisfaction and positioning the Company as their partner of choice. Leverage your regional expertise within Enterprise.

Defend existing revenue streams by minimising churn of services. Drive cross-functional collaboration to achieve the regional commercial and operational targets.

Develop revenue from new products and services.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS :

  1. Retain Existing business
  2. Cross Functional Co-ordination to Support Customer Engagement / Account Plan Management
  3. Sales Reporting – Accurate forecasting of Committed & Expected Numbers
  4. Product Knowledge

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

  1. Matric
  2. Business related degree would be an advantage
  3. Industry recognized product certification

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE :

  1. 5+ years in Corporate and Enterprise sales environment
  2. Good network across regional corporate and enterprise customers
  3. Good sales and technical knowledge of WAN Solutions - including SDN technologies, SDWAN, IP networking, edge cloud & security.
  4. Demonstrable expertise in complex solution selling

OTHER REQUIREMENTS :

  1. Multilingual would be advantageous
  2. Own transport
  3. Flexible working hours to accommodate European / African time zone for internal and external customer obligations
  4. Willing and able to travel internationally and attend trade shows
  5. Demonstrable expertise in complex solution selling
  6. Track record of building strong relationships across customer business functions
  7. Regional trade show experience and planning
  8. Ability to identify key customer stakeholders for existing and newly developed products / services

Account Management :

  1. Revenue defence; accomplished in retention and cross-sell and up-sell of services
  2. Adept at building and executing Account Plans (AP’s)

Prospecting :

  1. Ability to identify market trends and opportunities
  2. Exceptional negotiation skills with an ability to influence others
  3. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Forecasting and Governance :

  1. Sales reporting discipline, including pipeline and opportunity management.
