Our client in the ICT industry is currently looking for a Pre and Post Sales Engineers in Midrand.
POSITION INFO
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in executing and furthering the Enterprise / AI strategy by leveraging their technical expertise to identify customer needs, provide product demonstrations, presentations, "proof-of-concepts", and support the implementation of solutions.
Furthermore, they will act as a technology promoter, trusted advisor and thought leader who delivers the company's value proposition message through customer engagement.
The focus of the role will be AI solutions, private / hybrid cloud, server and storage technologies, networking, backup, and application virtualization.
Responsibilities
- Achieve applicable industry certifications and ensure they remain current.
- Represent the company and/or Vendor(s) at customer engagements and conferences.
- Attend meetings with the sales team to identify customer pain points and possible cross-sell opportunities.
- Deliver vendor presentations and training to the customer landscape.
- Propose and professionally demonstrate enterprise products and solutions by means of presentations, whiteboarding, demos, and "proof-of-concepts", highlighting the technical value proposition of the company's products.
- Build Billing of Material (BOMs) based on customer requirements.
- Deploy and configure proposed solutions based on customer requirements and best practices.
- Collaborate with the creation and presentation of a business case to all business sponsors (i.e., C-level executives, technical partners, etc.) in support of solutions.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and sales collateral such as product data sheets, case studies, and whitepapers.
- Promote the Enterprise and AI portfolio through customer engagement.
- Become entrenched as a trusted advisor to colleagues and customers.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, Enterprise and AI product portfolio, and solutions.
- Partake in tender evaluation, product/solution recommendation, and pricing.
- Price products/solutions/services accurately, as per vendor or customer requirements.
Requirements
- Successful track record in technical Pre and Post Sales of enterprise infrastructure and software.
- Strong background and understanding of enterprise storage, servers, backup, networking, virtualization, converged, hyper-converged, and cloud infrastructures.
- 3+ years' experience in the design and implementation of infrastructure solutions.
- Demonstrable knowledge of enterprise solution design considerations and tools.
Skills and Education
- Matric with mathematics is essential and a relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous.
- Appropriate accreditation/certification including one or more convergence technology.
- Technology promoter with the ability to connect and work with stakeholders across all levels, including C-level.
- Excellent communication, networking, and relationship-building skills.
- Good time management and well organized i.e., deadline driven, able to plan and prioritize a high workload.
- Above average computer literacy in MS Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Own transport and valid driver's license.
