The primary goal of this role is to develop new business opportunities and to secure new enterprise clients.

Job Description
MAIN FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
  1. Develop a sales target and execution plan.
  2. Identify and establish relationships with key contacts.
  3. Communicate and educate client prospects about the Teraco value proposition and position this within the clients‘ sales engagement.
  4. Understand client positions in the greater Teraco ecosystem and communicate value to the Teraco business.
  5. Produce joint marketing opportunities and deliver content related to Teraco client opportunities (events, case studies, etc.)
  6. Support the Teraco operation in the daily dealings with clients.
  7. Achieve (and exceed) sales targets.
  8. Sales pipeline management and reporting.
Account planning and execution
  1. Networking within the industry.
  2. Identify new markets and business opportunities, threats, and competitor activity.
  3. Communicate new prospects to the Teraco business.
Administration
  1. Maintaining CRM with client contact/activity details.
  2. Negotiating any additional terms in the supply of services.
Reporting and communication
  1. Building relationships throughout business levels to maximise depth of awareness of Teraco and create strategic relationships.
  2. Personal performance review and reporting.
Job Requirements
SKILLS REQUIREMENT
  1. An innate ability to understand unique industry requirements.
  2. Experience in ICT, specifically cloud, networks, and IT services.
  3. An established and proven network of contacts in the ICT industry with an understanding of the industry’s unique workings.
  4. Ability to identify and understand prospective client colocation needs.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Ability to communicate at all levels of the business, including at CIO / CTO, C-Suite, and board level.
  7. Excellent problem solving and organisational skills.
  8. Experience and understanding of RFP process.
  9. Strong negotiation skills and an ability to close deals.
  10. Ability to work independently and be a positive team player.
  11. Meticulous and analytical.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  1. Matric qualifications and degree/diploma.
  2. Five or more years relevant sales experience.
  3. Advanced Microsoft Office and CRM system skills.
  4. Proven track record in closing large accounts.
  5. Experience in the ICT sector dealing with finance and enterprise markets.
  6. Solid understanding of general cloud concepts and application.
