Job Purpose
To facilitate the development of future state architecture and ensure its effective adoption.
Provide and identify operational opportunities, overall direction, guidance, and definition of the enterprise architecture that effectively supports business strategies.
Advocate and support the enterprise's IT strategy by identifying and analyzing enterprise business drivers, analyzing the current IT environment to detect critical deficiencies, recommending solutions for improvement, and developing strategies for aligning IT to the business.
Act as a trusted technology advisor to the business in realizing the business strategy for the relevant discipline.
Responsible for the end-to-end view across both Capabilities and/or Solution Architecture disciplines ensuring alignment across relevant domains.
Work as an advocate and liaise with Information Services and Technology operational teams and the Enterprise Architects while researching technology trends.
Job Responsibilities
- Facilitate priority setting, project selection, and integration by providing guiding principles and architecture.
- Ensure alignment with emerging technologies and recommend new technologies.
- Deliver business tasks according to expertise to meet financial objectives.
- Address client needs through leading phases of projects or consulting to projects and business leaders across architecture disciplines.
- Build professional relationships, lead, and influence in all disciplines of architecture.
- Build and maintain relationships within the enterprise and the larger field of specialty.
- Lead the achievement of architecture solutions requiring understanding of all disciplines.
- Monitor and evaluate competitive offerings that could impact the domain landscape.
- Identify the business impact of change and risks, and integrate these into strategic planning.
- Adjust recommendations considering the impact of new initiatives on market perception.
- Enable enterprise-wide solutions to integrate with existing practices by developing mitigating actions and change strategies.
- Consider system optimization and long-term viability, building models around future scenarios.
- Optimize architectural strategy across various application portfolios from an enterprise viewpoint.
- Develop position papers to influence domain landscape changes.
- Apply disciplines in various projects across multiple business areas, considering enterprise-wide best practices.
- Ensure alignment with emerging trends by monitoring and evaluating their potential impact.
- Move systems toward the desired future state considering future scenarios, macro environment, and operational requirements.
- Identify patterns in vague information, make judgments based on hypotheses or educated guesses.
- Provide advice across disciplines, supporting business strategy objectives and values.
- Stay updated on developments in the field and contribute to the organization’s culture and initiatives.
- Support corporate responsibility initiatives and seek opportunities for process improvements through agile thinking.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science.
- Honours or Master's Degree in the same fields.
- TOGAF Foundation Training and Certification.
- Information Technology Architect Certification (ITAC) (Open Group).
- Preferred: Cloud certifications (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
- Minimum 10 years experience in systems design, development, and architecture.
