Position: Enrolled Nurse | Ward B

Introduction

A vacancy exists for an Enrolled Nurse for Ward B based at Life Anncron Hospital, reporting to Unit Manager, Jeanette Adamson. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality care in line with Company strategic objectives and applicable Health/Nursing legislation.

Critical Outputs

Ensure effective quality management systems by:

• Attending and participating in care programs and ensuring induction training is carried out
• Ensuring comment cards are completed and reported to the shift leader or unit manager
• Participating in review and ward meetings to ensure conformance to QMS audit standards
• Complying with infection control standards and PPE procedures
• Adhering to safety measures

Ensure optimum operational efficiencies by:

• Accurate stock administration
• Reporting patient movements on discharge or transfer
• Proper usage and maintenance of equipment
• Minimizing and justifying personal absenteeism
• Working flexible hours to minimize agency costs and assisting other departments as needed

Ensure effective quality patient care by:

• Performing assigned tasks to maximize patient care
• Maintaining patient hygiene, comfort, and safety per the nursing care plan
• Using correct techniques and PPE to promote healing
• Assessing, implementing, and evaluating patient care needs and progress
• Managing and preparing for surgical and diagnostic procedures

Effective relationship management with customers by:

• Building and maintaining healthy relationships with internal and external customers
• Supporting new staff with orientation

• Qualification as an Enrolled Nurse
• Registration with SANC
