Adhere to hospital policies, protocols, and best practices.
Knowledge and insight into infection prevention principles.
Promote and maintain patient health and provide health education.
Able to complete patient assessments, compile, and implement appropriate nursing care plans.
Safe administration of medication and knowledge of management of scheduled medications.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.
Strong commitment to quality patient care.
BLS competency required.
Supervise and orient junior staff members and students.
Perform teaching rounds with junior staff and students.
Competently administer oral medication.
Perform wound care.
Assist doctors during ward rounds.
Maintain high energy levels and tolerance for stress/pressure.
Focus on quality patient care, problem analysis and solving skills, accurate record keeping, adaptability, and effective teamwork within a multidisciplinary team.
Ability to render basic nursing care without supervision and perform ad hoc duties.
