Introduction

A vacancy exists for an Enrolled Nurse Specialist – Neonatal ICU based at Life Carstenhof Hospital, reporting to the Unit Manager.

The purpose of this role is to conduct nursing activities to ensure quality patient care.

Critical Outputs

• Conduct duties to meet quality patient care requirements, ensuring all nursing activities comply with SANC regulations, relevant legislation, and Life Healthcare policies and procedures.
• Maintain health, safety, and infection control standards to ensure a safe patient environment.
• Utilize resources effectively.
• Maintain equipment properly.
• Keep accurate records.
• Educate patients continuously.
• Build effective relationships with patients, doctors, and other medical personnel to ensure quality care.

Requirements

• Qualification as an Enrolled Nurse.
• Registration with SANC.
• Experience in Neonatal ICU.
• Ability to work shifts according to hospital operational requirements.
• Understanding of the private healthcare industry, its challenges, and role players (advantage).
• Computer proficiency (advantage).
