Job description

Correct collection handling and transportation of samples for testing.

Assist with self-collection of samples. Assist with certain medical procedures under supervision of a nurse or a doctor.

Perform point of care testing.

Qualification / Knowledge :

Grade 12 Certificate

Qualified Medical Technician in Phlebotomy

Registered with HPCSA / SANC

Valid driver's License (for use of company vehicle)

Interpersonal relations (kc)

Key Accountabilities :

  1. Collection / Delivery of specimens reports and other items
    1. Effective collection of specimens from various clients as per SOP
    2. Handle administrative duties and queries as appropriate
    3. Maintain safe and housekeeping standards in accordance with OHS Act
    4. Provide functional support in the department.
  2. Quality Management :
    1. Ensure the correct application for quality assurance processes in standard operating procedures.
    2. Adherence to company policies and procedures
  3. Living the JDJ Diagnostics Value System :
    1. Comply with Customer Focus requirements.
    2. Accountability to patients supporters and all members of the team.
    3. Display respect and ethical behavior.
    4. Good team player with good communication skills.
