Job summary

Gauteng Provincial Government invites applications for Enrolled Nurse posts in the Department of Health. The roles require SANC-registered Enrolled Nurses with strong communication and interpersonal skills, to deliver safe patient care in line with SOPs and quality standards.

Qualifications

Job description

• Package : GRADE 1: R229 440-260 520.00, GRADE 2: R 272 778 -310 890.00 AND GRADE 3: R 319 071- 397 392.00 PER ANNUM (PLUS BENEFITS)

Requirements

• Enrolled Nurse Certificate that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as Enrolled nurse. Proof of current registration with the South African Nursing Council as Enrolled Nurse. Good communication skills, basic writing skills, ability and good interpersonal skills. Knowledge of nursing care processes and procedures, Quality assurance, patient’s experience of care, patients’ safety, infection control; occupational health and safety and other relevant legal frame works e.g. Ideal Hospital Realization. Good ethical practice and caring attitude. Grade 1: no experience. Grade 2: a minimum of 10 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration with SANC as an Enrolled Nurse. Grade 3: a minimum of 20 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration with SANC as an Enrolled Nurse.

Duties

• Ensure safe and effective clinical nursing practice according to Scope of Practice. Ensure effective implementation of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to ensure rendering Quality Nursing Care to patients. Participate in maintaining therapeutic environment in the nursing unit. Ensure that the Nursing Standards are upheld and maintained. Ensure effective communication according to hierarchy. Ensure optimal utilization of resources. Demonstrate basic understanding of nursing procedures. Demonstrate basic understanding of the legislative framework protocols, policies governing the Public Service. Ensure that the Ideal Hospital realization standards are maintained and upheld. Maintain professional growth; ethical standards and self-development.
