Job summary

Badisa invites applications for a Staff Nurse (Enrolled Nurse) at Herfsvreugde Tehuis in the Western Cape. The role focuses on compassionate care for older persons, requiring SANC registration and ability to work shifts, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Valid registration with the South African Nursing Council as Staff Nurse or Enrolled Nurse.
• Sound knowledge of care needs of older persons.
• Good verbal and written communication in Afrikaans and English.
• Willingness to work day and night shifts, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, professional nursing and care within scope.
• Observe residents and report changes.
• Medication administration and documentation.
• Lead and train carers, delegate duties.
• Maintain infection control and quality standards.
• Maintain records and participate in digital reporting.
• Liaise with families and multidisciplinary team.
• Support duty rosters and daily operations.
