A vacancy exists for an Enrolled Nurse in Fin 4, based at Life Entabeni Hospital. The successful candidate will report to the Unit Manager and will be responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of quality patient care.

Introduction

Function: Nursing Facility
Position: Enrolled Nurse | Fin 4 | Medical Ward

Critical Outputs

• Conduct basic duties as allocated by the Unit Manager.
• Deliver quality nursing care to patients according to Scope of Practice.
• Maintain sound professional relationships with patients, doctors, and the multidisciplinary team.
• Ensure customer satisfaction.
• Comply with all health, safety, and infection control policies.
• Supervise subordinates and provide guidance where necessary.
• Provide health education to patients and staff.
• Assist in stock management within the unit.
• Work flexibly on a rotational shift basis as required.
• Monitor patients on chemotherapy and blood products.
• Maintain accurate record keeping.
• Demonstrate empathy, mental, and physical stamina.

Requirements

• Registered as an Enrolled Nurse with SANC.
• At least one year of experience in a medical or surgical ward.
• Ability to work shifts, including day and night duties.
• Understanding of the private healthcare industry is advantageous.
• Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork ability.
