Job description

Job Responsibilities
  1. Conduct medical pre-screening of initiates at three months and four weeks prior to initiation season.
  2. Conduct customary male initiation bush visits and wound care management.
  3. Provide pre- and post-operative care for all clients during initiation.
  4. Identify, record, and refer all adverse events to the line manager.
  5. Ensure all source documents are available and well utilized by the Roving team.
  6. Ensure utilization of PPE materials during CMI site visits.
  7. Adhere to Infection Prevention and Control Standards during wound care and follow-up visits.
  8. Conduct and document all follow-up and review of clients.
  9. Follow emergency management and referral protocols.
  10. Assist in verification of all data before reporting.
  11. Assist in compiling the standardized weekly progress report of the Roving team for the line manager.
  12. Review all follow-up source documents for completeness and outcome management.
  13. Ensure all outcomes of referred clients are correctly documented.
  14. Review and prepare all Registers for quarterly submissions to the Department of Health.
  15. Assist in identifying staff training needs and scheduling appropriate trainings.
  16. Assist in junior staff time management.
  17. Supervise all counselors and ensure adherence to VMMC SAG / WHO standards.
  18. Assist in mentoring and supervising locum staff.
