Job description

A vacancy has arisen for Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary at Life Nkanyisa Algoa Psych, Mission Road, Bethelsdorp, PE. Reporting to the Unit Manager. The successful candidates will contribute towards the effective functioning of the unit and ensure quality nursing care to all patients.

Critical Outputs

Patient Care:

• Assist in reporting patient complaints following LHC process, do and analyze vital data, and report any abnormalities to the Registered Nurse.
• Observe reactions to medication, special diets, and treatment plans.
• Implement health, safety, and infection control standards.
• Contribute towards accurate record keeping by recording and reporting any changes in patients’ physical condition and referral to medical practitioners.

Health Education:

• Participate in health education or learning programmes for patients, families, communication, and staff.

In-service Training:

• Participate in and attend in-service training and engage in CPD training.

Material and Human Resources:

• Manage ward stock, maintain accurate inventory, and determine material needs.

Administration:

• Maintain accurate patient information documentation by adhering to the nursing process, keeping records of referrals and incident reports.
