Function: Nursing Facility Life Hilton Private Hospital

Position: Enrolled Nurse | Auxiliary x 5 | Surgical Ward

Introduction

Vacancies exist for Enrolled Nurse Auxiliaries based at Life Hilton Private Hospital. The successful candidates will report to Kim Gove, Surgical Unit Manager. They will be responsible for delivering high-quality care in line with company strategic objectives and applicable health and nursing legislation.

Critical Outputs

Ensure effective quality management systems by:

• Attending and participating in quality programs and ensuring induction training is conducted
• Completing monthly quality evaluator cards and reporting to the shift leader or unit manager
• Participating in review and ward meetings to ensure compliance with QMS audit standards
• Understanding and adhering to infection control standards, PPE protocols, and safety measures

Ensure optimum operational efficiencies by:

• Accurate stock administration
• Proper reporting of patient movements on discharge or transfer
• Correct usage and maintenance of equipment
• Minimizing and justifying personal absenteeism
• Working flexible hours to reduce agency costs and assist other departments

Ensure effective quality patient care by:

• Completing assigned tasks to maximize patient care
• Maintaining patient hygiene, comfort, and safety according to the nursing care plan
• Following proper techniques and PPE protocols to promote healing
• Monitoring and recording patient fluid intake
• Preparing and managing surgical and diagnostic procedures

Effective relationship management with customers by:

• Building and maintaining healthy relationships with internal and external customers
• Supporting new staff during orientation

Requirements

• Registered as an Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary with SANC
• Current registration with the relevant professional/regulatory body
• Understanding of the private healthcare industry, its challenges, and role players (advantageous)
• Computer proficiency
• Driver’s license and ability to travel
