Job summary

Life Healthcare Group is seeking an Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary for the Nkanyisa Waverley Care Centre. Qualifications

  • Grade 12 Certificate or NSC required.
  • Current registration with SANC is mandatory.
  • Two years nursing experience in a Care Centre required.

Job description

Vacancies have arisen for Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary positions at Life Nkanyisa Waverley Care Centre, in Germiston, reporting to the Unit Managers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring delivery of uncompromising quality care in line with Company strategic objectives and applicable health / nursing legislation for our intermediate care.

Critical Outputs
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Scope of Practice of Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary
  • Maintain Health, Safety, and Infection Prevention Standards
  • Ensuring quality patient care and client services
  • Conducting basic duties within the Scope of Practice of Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary
  • Participate in patient activities and maintain sound relationships and communication with patients and relatives
  • Determine the special needs of patients by observing them during activities
  • Report and record any abnormal changes in patient condition to the ward-in charge
  • Assist in ensuring a safe environment for patient care
  • Attend and participate in in-service training and ongoing education
  • Assist in disseminating health information by participating in health education to patients, their families, campaigns, and community health education
  • Participate in implementing the patient's rehabilitation programme

Requirements
  • Grade 12 Certificate or NSC
  • Proof of current registration with SANC
  • Proof of two years nursing experience in a hospital / Care Centre environment
  • English subject in Matric passed
  • Enthusiasm to care for users with disabilities
  • Ability to work shifts according to operational requirements of the Centre
  • Must be able to work under pressure in a constantly changing environment
