Function Nursing Facility Position Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary | Ward 1 Introduction

A vacancy exists for an Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary, based at Life Bayview Private Hospital, reporting to Brian Mpanza, Unit Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring delivery of quality care in line with Company objectives and healthcare legislation.

Critical Outputs

Ensure effective quality management systems by

• Participating in quality programs and ensuring induction training
• Completing monthly quality evaluator cards and reporting to the shift leader or unit manager
• Attending review and ward meetings to ensure conformance to audit standards
• Complying with infection control standards and PPE procedures
• Adhering to safety measures

Ensure operational efficiencies by

• Managing stock accurately
• Reporting patient movements on discharge or transfer
• Proper usage and maintenance of equipment
• Minimizing and justifying personal absenteeism
• Working flexible hours to reduce agency costs and assist other departments

Ensure quality patient care by

• Completing tasks to maximize patient care
• Maintaining patient hygiene, comfort, and safety as per care plan
• Using correct techniques and PPE to promote healing
• Monitoring and recording fluid intake
• Managing surgical and diagnostic procedures

Effective relationship management with customers by

• Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers
• Supporting new staff during orientation
