Position: Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary | Paeds Ward x 2

Introduction:

A vacancy exists for an Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary at Life Hilton Private Hospital, reporting to Nontobeko Dlamini, Paeds/NICU Ward Unit Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality care aligned with company strategies and healthcare legislation.

Critical Outputs:

Ensure effective quality management systems by:

• Participating in Q programs and induction training
• Completing monthly Q evaluator cards and reporting to shift leader or unit manager
• Attending review and ward meetings to ensure compliance with QMS standards
• Adhering to infection control standards and PPE procedures
• Following safety measures

Ensure operational efficiency by:

• Managing stock accurately
• Reporting patient movements during discharge or transfer
• Using and maintaining equipment properly
• Minimizing justified personal absenteeism
• Working flexible hours to reduce agency costs and assist other departments

Ensure quality patient care by:

• Completing assigned tasks to maximize patient care
• Maintaining patient hygiene, comfort, and safety as per care plan
• Using correct techniques and PPE to promote healing
• Monitoring and recording fluid intake
• Preparing for surgical and diagnostic procedures

Effective relationship management with customers by:

• Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Supporting new staff during orientation

Requirements:

• Registered as an Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary with SANC
• Current registration with relevant professional body
• Understanding of private healthcare industry (advantageous)

• Driver’s license and willingness to travel
