Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
  • Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary qualification.
  • Current registration with South African Nursing Council.
  • Certificate in audiometry, spirometry, and vision screening.
  • 3+ years’ relevant Nursing experience based on the area of specialization.
  • Experience within an occupational health clinic in a mining sector environment is advantageous.
  • Computer proficiency advantageous.
Minimum Job Requirements:
  • Perform all duties in accordance with the South African Nursing Council (SANC), Department of Health (DOH) and National Core Standards.
  • Adhere to patient advocacy principles according to SANC acts, Omissions, Company Code of Conduct, patient rights, Responsibility charter, National Millennium Development goals, and continuous professional development (CPD).
  • Plan, organize, assess, and prioritize work to ensure efficient completion of tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Maintain a safe, therapeutic, and clean environment, free from medico-legal hazards, adhering to quality of care standards.
  • Document patient care services accurately in patient and department records, including progress on patients’ conditions.
  • Provide a positive patient experience by delivering holistic, customer-oriented service.
  • Follow Lean management principles to reduce wastage and unnecessary expenditure without compromising patient care.
  • Participate as an effective team member to achieve unit goals.
  • Capture patient medical data accurately in the system.
