Function: Nursing Facility Life Flora Hospital

Position: Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary | Neuro Orthopedic Ward

Introduction:

A vacancy exists for an Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary at Life Flora Hospital (Neuro Orthopedic Ward). The successful candidate will report to Colleen Davis, Unit Manager. The role involves delivering high-quality care in accordance with company objectives and relevant health and nursing legislation.

Critical Outputs

Ensure effective quality management systems by:

• Participating in quality programs and ensuring induction training is completed
• Completing monthly quality evaluator cards and reporting to the shift leader or unit manager
• Attending review and ward meetings to ensure compliance with QMS standards
• Adhering to infection control standards and PPE procedures
• Following safety measures

Ensure optimum operational efficiencies by:

• Managing stock accurately
• Reporting patient movements upon discharge or transfer
• Properly using and maintaining equipment
• Minimizing and justifying personal absenteeism
• Working flexible hours to reduce agency costs and assist other departments

Ensure effective patient care by:

• Completing assigned tasks to maximize patient care
• Maintaining patient hygiene, comfort, and safety as per care plan
• Following correct techniques and PPE use to promote healing
• Monitoring and recording fluid intake
• Preparing for surgical and diagnostic procedures

Effective relationship management with customers by:

• Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers
• Supporting new staff during orientation

Requirements

• Registered as an Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary with SANC
• Current registration with the relevant professional/regulatory body
• Understanding of the private healthcare industry is advantageous
• Computer proficiency
• Driver’s license and ability to travel
