An appropriate 3-year National Diploma in Engineering or relevant qualification; compulsory registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as an Engineering Technician or submission for Professional registration as an Engineering Technician (proof of payment required). Registration with ECSA as an Engineering Technician must be obtained within 6 months of appointment. A minimum of 3 years relevant post-qualification technical (engineering) experience is required. A valid driving license (Code B or higher) is also necessary.
Grade A: R - R per annum; Grade B: R - R per annum; Grade C: R - R per annum. Salary depends on post-registration experience as per OSD guidelines. Remuneration packages include all service benefits, or benefits are funded/co-funded as per applicable policies.
Shortlisted candidates must submit documentation for verification and criminal record checks. They will be invited for interviews and may undergo competency assessments or proficiency tests. The selection process adheres to the department's EE targets.
