The Stores Management and Control Lead is responsible for driving excellence in stores management and control to support the site operations. This role involves the application of maintenance philosophy, driving innovative and cost-effective solutions to ensure compliance with best practices and deliver high asset reliability.
Responsibilities:
- Manage equipment, spares, maintenance supplies, and tools required by the Facilities and Engineering Departments.
- Coordinate daily collection, deliveries, and issuing of spares to artisans.
- Assist the engineering buyer with vendor and service provider contact, price negotiation, and order management.
- Determine stock requirements, manage re-ordering of stock, and ensure regular stock taking.
- Manage the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and all related documentation.
- Work with the planner to develop new PM schedules focusing on critical spares and availability.
- Participate in team meetings with technical teams to mitigate any impact relating to spare parts.
- Identify and implement continuous improvements initiatives to minimize wastages and contain or improve maintenance costs.
- Provide technical support for facilities, engineering, maintenance management, and technical personnel.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, quality standards, and GMP regulations.
- Support validation process with IQ, OQ, and PQ tasks.
- Conduct internal EHS/Quality/Housekeeping audits and ensure corrective action plans are initiated and closed out.
Qualifications:- Studying towards an Engineering Technical Degree/Certificate/Diploma.
- Previous experience as an Engineering Storeman. Strong communication, numeracy, and PC skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work on computer systems.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Customer service orientation, assertiveness, and administration skills.
- Leadership potential and active listening skills. - Deadline and target driven approach.
- User knowledge of Microsoft Office.
