Qualifications

Job description

Minimum Requirements:

  • Tech. Construction, BSc. Construction Management, Engineering (Building, Civil, Mechanical or Electrical).
  • Professional Registration with recognized Project Management or Engineering Association will be advantageous
  • Matric (Senior Certificate)
  • Valid SA Driver’s License
  • 5 years relevant engineering experience in facilities maintenance
  • 5 years relevant engineering experience
  • 3-5 years experience in Data Centre environment
  • Engineering maintenance, CRM & Property Management
  • MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, MS Project & MS Outlook (Intermediate skill level), SAP knowledge
  • OHS Act, ISO 9001 Quality Management & Risk Management Systems

Key Performance Areas (KPAs):

  • Maintain Preventative Maintenance (PM) schedules in accordance to the SLA for all equipment and services
  • Provide a detailed and planned maintenance programme strategy to ensure business continuity incurs minimum downtime
  • Proactively manage the maintenance process and identify potential equipment / asset failure or problems
  • Investigate plant or equipment failure to establish root cause and recommend corrective actions
  • Initiate corrective action where omissions or failures occur
  • Manage the planned preventative maintenance process and ensure that all work is carried out as per the planned maintenance plan
  • Prepare Supplier Service Level Specifications pertaining to all the disciplines of this portfolio
  • Engage with suppliers regarding quality of maintenance
