You will drive quality management, continuous improvement, and occupational health and safety within engineering operations.

The role emphasizes managing projects, coordinating on-site contractors, and leading a skilled team while maintaining departmental budgets and stakeholder relations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the management and maintenance of building, plant and equipment
• Manage and support technical projects within the Hospital
• Manage and mitigate Technical Operations risk within the Hospital
• Oversee and manage on-site contractors/suppliers in the Hospital
• Ensure quality management and continuous improvement within Technical Operations
• Manage stakeholder relations and client service within the technical environment at Mediclinic
• Lead and manage the people in the technical team
• Manage and control department budget/finances

Education

NQF level 6 Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) with Thermodynamics and Electro Technology (2nd year)

NQF level 7 Engineering with HVAC exposure

Business/Leadership qualification (desirable)

Valid driver’s license
