About the role

As part of our expansion, we are seeking an engineering manager to lead our team of financial services developers within our Europe tech hub.

You will be based in Berlin or Paris and will oversee a tech team supporting Yassir’s product development and delivery.

Your responsibilities include owning and building large-scale systems and micro-services, designing, developing, and delivering impactful applications in a dynamic environment.

To succeed, you should have excellent technical skills, be hands-on, confident in leading and supporting tech teams, adept at managing multiple products, and thrive in high-growth settings.

Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with product and design teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
2. Participate in hiring and building the engineering team.
3. Foster a culture of technical excellence and support your team's success and growth.
4. Oversee engineering projects, identify and resolve blockers, and coach team members.
5. Build robust, scalable software using Node.js.
6. Improve code quality through quality assurance practices and code reviews.
7. Apply TDD and DDD methodologies.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with TDD and DDD.
• Experience with digital products, FinTech, digital banking, or payment solutions is a plus.
• At least three years as an engineering manager or tech lead.
• Extensive experience with cloud technologies, microservices, continuous delivery, and modern HCI.
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies.
• Excellent leadership and project management skills, including managing remote teams.
• Solid software design knowledge—know how to create extensible, reusable software meeting architectural goals.
• BSc/MSc in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
