Engineering Manager
The Engineering Manager is responsible for developing and implementing company engineering policies and standards, as well as providing specialist engineering knowledge.
The incumbent will implement and ensure the execution of a standardized asset lifecycle management approach and maintenance management system across the organization. They will also drive standardization and coordinate spare parts management and maintenance planning.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop strategies to improve the quality of engineering service, performance, and budgetary and operational efficiency for the unit.
- Drive optimal asset care and improvement by establishing systems for maintenance applicable to plant and services, focusing on continuous improvement.
- Approve engineering designs and program or project specifications to meet compliance with engineering principles, standards, statutes, codes, regulations, and design requirements.
- Define policies and compliance procedures aligned with engineering standards, perform inspections and audits to ensure proper procedures are followed.
- Write clear, concise, and organized documents and reports on complex engineering concepts, standards, practices, codes, or regulations.
- Draft and develop standards, rules, and legislation related to engineering.
- Provide engineering standards consultation as an expert on complex projects or programs.
- Participate in developing long-range engineering and project management strategic goals.
- Drive standardization and coordinate spare parts management and maintenance planning.
- Develop and align KPI frameworks with manufacturing leadership, review, and monitor monthly performance, and provide input for management review.
- Collaborate with the Capex project management team to develop technical specifications for new plant and machinery purchases.

- Machine uptime percentage (breakdown hours per day)
- Maintenance cost per standard unit of production
- Maintenance consumable cost
- Maintenance cost savings (% achieved versus target)
Desired Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in FMCG, with experience in maintenance and project management.
- GRM2 certification.
