Job summary

AVI Limited's Snackworks Isando Biscuits Factory in Kempton Park, Gauteng, is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team of 40+ technicians and engineers, driving maintenance strategy, safety, reliability and continuous improvement in a fast-paced FMCG plant.

You will manage budgets, CAPEX and asset performance, collaborate with risk, quality and operations, and ensure compliance with SANS, ASIB, AIB and food safety standards.

Qualifications

• 5 years' experience as an Engineering Manager in Manufacturing.
• 5 years' people management experience.
• Ideally 3 years within an FMCG environment as Engineering/ Maintenance Manager.
• Experience with Packaging Machinery is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of 40+ engineers and technicians.
• Manage annual maintenance budget and 5-year site CAPEX planning.
• Improve asset reliability and key KPIs (OEE, MTBF, MTTR).
• Ensure compliance with food safety and site standards (AIB, FSSC, ISO).
• Coordinate with risk, electrical and maintenance teams to execute projects.
