Job summary

Valterra Platinum Limited invites applications for an Engineering Learnership Programme (18.2- Unemployed) focused on Boilermaker Plater. This opportunity provides hands-on engineering experience within the mining sector and aims to yield an Artisan qualification upon successful completion.

Minimum entry includes Matric with Mathematics, Physical Science and English (40%+), or an N2 in a relevant trade, plus NCV Level 4 where applicable. First preference to host community members.

• NCV Level 4 in the relevant trade with subjects passed at 40% or higher.

Responsibilities

• Structured training including off-the-job and workplace training.

• Structured training that includes off- the-Job and workplace Training
• Successful completion of this Learnership programme will result in a nationally recognized Artisan qualification.

The following are the minimum entry requirements for the programme:

Minimum Entry Requirements

• Matric with Mathematics (not Mathematics Literacy), Physical Science and English (all with minimum 40% pass), OR
• N2 or higher with all subjects as per the specific Discipline requirements below;
  • Boilermaker Plater: Plating & Structural Steelwork/ Welders Theory and Plating Structural & Steelwork Drawings, Mathematics & Engineering Science.
  • Electrical: Electrical Trade Theory /Electrotechnology/ Electrotechnics and Industrial Electronics, or Engineering Drawings, Mathematics & Engineering Science.
  • Diesel Mechanic: Diesel/ Motor Trade Theory, Engineering Drawings, Mathematics & Engineering Science.
  • Auto Electrician: Motor Electrical Trade Theory, Industrial Electronics, Mathematics & Engineering Science. OR
• NCV Level - 4 in appropriate trade with all subjects passed with a minimum 40% pass.
