A renowned client serving cafés, businesses, and home brewers through their wholesale platform and e-commerce store is seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Engineer to lead their engineering department, which services customers' coffee equipment. This position is based in East London.

Role Overview: The Lead Engineer will be responsible for driving growth, development, and profitability within the engineering department. This role involves coordinating day-to-day operations, ensuring excellent customer service for wholesale clients, and mentoring a technical support representative.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee the engineering department, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
* Drive growth and profitability within the department.
* Coordinate daily operations and provide exceptional customer service.
* Mentor and develop the technical support representative.

Key Requirements:

* Thorough understanding of the machine sales process and prior sales experience.
* Relevant engineering experience in the coffee industry and with related machinery.
* Excellent technical knowledge of coffee-related machinery.
* Experience as a barista or the ability to dial in espresso and operate various coffee machines.
* Proficient IT and computer skills.
* Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
* Strong teamwork and organisational skills.
* Meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of the role.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Good problem-solving skills and a creative approach to new ideas.
* Proof of the right to work in the UK.
* A full, clean driving licence.
