Zusammenfassung

Stadio seeks a capable Engineering Lab Support professional to assist with laboratory setup, equipment maintenance, and student supervision within the Computer and Electronic Engineering programmes. You will help ensure safe, functional labs and assist with practical teaching activities.

The role involves managing inventories, supporting staff in demonstrations, and maintaining records of equipment usage and safety checks.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum NQF 7 qualification in computer/ electric/ embedded systems engineering-related engineering.
• Minimum three years of industry experience in a computer/ embedded systems engineering-related discipline.
• Knowledge of the HOS act and regulations
• Candidate/ Professional ECSA Registration required

Aufgaben

• Prepare laboratory spaces and ensure equipment and materials are ready for practical sessions.
• Inspect, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment for safety and performance.
• Monitor laboratory infrastructure and report faults to academic or facilities management.
• Maintain a clean, organised laboratory environment in line with health and safety regulations.
• Keep accurate inventory of tools, components, consumables, and equipment.
• Oversee storage, labelling and handling of equipment and materials.
• Provide technical support to students during practical sessions and supervise workshop activities.
• Assist lecturers in preparation and execution of practical demonstrations and assessments.
