Job summary

Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd invites applications for Engineering Assistant HV Plant Management across multiple sites in KwaZulu-Natal. This permanent role focuses on providing a safe, first-line maintenance service for high voltage plant and equipment within the Eastern Grid.

You will execute maintenance, perform inspections, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental policies while mentoring teammates and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• Trade certificate required at NQF4 with 120 credits.
• 2 years electrical experience preferred.
• Knowledge of HV plant and safety protocols.

Area of specialization: To provide a safe, organised and planned first line maintenance service within the grid for high voltage plant and associated equipment. Task Grade: T10. Business Unit: Eastern Grid. Location: Empangeni, Ladysmith & Newcastle

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide an operating service to HV plant.
• Execute maintenance.
• Perform inspections.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental policies.
• Provide mentoring and coaching.

• Monitor non-outage related activities and conditions.

Skills and Competencies Required:

Knowledge:
