Job description

Based Middelburg
3 year Fixed term contract with possibility of extension

Exciting opportunity with a fast growing company specialising in water treatment in mining, petrochem and electricity generation environment.

This role will be site based and manage 2 technicians. It is a customer facing role.

Minimum Requirements

• BEng/BSc Metallurgical or Chemical Engineering
• 5+years' experience in furnace related water treatment
• Strong technical knowledge of water treatment processes
• Effective leadership, Safety First and analytical thinking
• Willing to be on-site based fulltime, with standby

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate chemical dosing regime
• Monitor dosing performance and optimise chemical dosing rates
• Daily reporting and analyses
• Water Quality monitoring
• Maintaining water treatment equipment and softeners
• Managing Service Level Agreement and Key Performance Indicators
• Liaising directly with the customer
• Stock control and forecasting
• Overseeing on-site personnel to guarantee timely and accurate task execution
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to meet performance targets
• Ensure compliance with health, safety environmental and operational standards
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and technical troubleshooting

Must be diligent, energetic, enthusiastic and willing to learn at a fast pace
