Responsibilities

• ICT Planning and Design for all Unified Communications and Collaboration platforms.
• Design, deployment, and maintenance of server infrastructure, VMware environment, storage network, and application-level network services.
• Maintain knowledge of various vendors’ hardware/software product lifecycles and plan upgrades accordingly.
• Maintain ICT governance and formal controls of all UCC platforms.
• Contribute to disaster recovery planning for all platforms.
• Assist with budgeting and network capacity planning.
• Liaise with platform service providers and vendors.
• Manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Analyze customer demand and develop solutions accordingly.
• Develop innovative network solutions focusing on differentiating MTN in the market.
• Support, maintain, and monitor all applications.

ICT Development

• Maintain standards for server installations and applications.
• Collaborate with the technical product development team to ensure successful product deployment on UCC platforms.
• Optimize end-to-end process flows to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Gather and analyze product and service requirements from customer-facing entities.
• Create technical documentation and provide feedback on solutions, costs, and timelines.
• Design workaround solutions and innovative approaches for faster market delivery.
• Develop bespoke SLAs tailored to customer needs.
• Define end-to-end network architecture supporting a converged approach.
• Ensure solutions deliver excellent customer experience.
• Maintain quality objectives and future-proof ICT plans.
• Monitor and report on division performance, investigate issues, and recommend improvements.
• Participate in tender evaluations and support technology planning.
• Research, architect, and implement new technologies to enhance productivity and network redundancy.
• Stay updated on current technology trends and test new technologies for suitability.
• Assist in troubleshooting systems-related issues escalated via NOC and CSC.

Qualifications

Education :

• 3-year degree/diploma in IT or Computer Systems.

Experience :

• At least 3 years of systems administration experience in a UNIX environment within an ISP.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a specialized area, including supervising others.
• Experience working in a medium-sized organization.

Training :

• Training in Sun Solaris/Unix, Erlang, Java, Linux, Vendor-specific platforms, SQL, Project Management, People Management, and Technology Management.
• Experience with BroadWorks and Session Border Controller planning and support.
