Job description

To provide expert professional knowledge and technical skills within a specialist area and to execute the bank's information security initiatives, enabling management to make informed decisions and monitor the protection of sensitive data and systems.

Qualifications :

• A degree in Information Technology is required.

Experience :

• 12 years of experience in risk management is required.
• 12 years of proven experience in technical and business management is required.
• 7 years of proven experience in software and integration development, databases, operating systems, and network security controls is required.

Technical Skills required :

• Coding: Python, SQL & PowerShell
• Microsoft Power Platforms
• Cloud experience (AWS, Azure) will be an advantage
• Security experience will also be an advantage

Additional Information :

Key Responsibilities :

• Act as a trusted adviser for technology across the group and stakeholders. Adhere to and implement relevant technology standards developed by the wider IT function. Participate in vendor selection processes, ensuring the most appropriate vendors are chosen based on expertise.
• Advise on and support the setting of reliable and realistic targets and budgets. Automate repeatable tasks by building technical controls and maturing operational effectiveness. Build relationships across IT teams and stakeholders to keep the business involved and informed of developments.
• Consider various attack scenarios and identify controls by working with architects and engineers to specify security implementations. Review and update system operations to mitigate risks and minimize incidents.
• Design and implement quarterly operational plans, ensuring clarity and understanding across teams.
• Develop and operate proactive monitoring and maintenance activities to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of services, minimizing security incidents in line with the bank's risk appetite.
• Adopt practical approaches, articulate information clearly, develop strategies, explore possibilities, generate ideas, interpret data, make decisions, produce outputs, and provide insights.
• Promote team working, uphold standards, manage incidents and problems, engage in IT design-driven development, and apply technical analysis and troubleshooting skills. Utilize build and test automation tools.
