Qualifications

• BSc Eng/BEng Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering (NQF Level 8, 480 credits).
• Two years’ related engineering experience or completed graduate training programme.
• Registered as an ECSA Candidate Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Optimise allocated plant performance and reliability.
• Identify, investigate and resolve problematic plant issues.
• Perform root cause analyses and implement sustainable engineering solutions.
• Manage plant modifications and engineering improvements.
• Execute and coordinate engineering projects.
• Provide technical advice and support to operations and maintenance teams.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, statutory requirements and governance processes.
• Conduct engineering assessments and performance evaluations of hydro turbines and associated plant systems.
• Provide engineering support across the Peaking Operating Unit's generation portfolio.
