Job description

An excellent opportunity to join a top consulting engineering company's Energy Division as a Project Manager for their Renewable Energy projects.


Key Responsibilities will include:
  • Develop detailed project execution plans to ensure successful delivery of projects.
  • Work collaboratively with the Client and company team.
  • Manage and coordinate the integration of technical activities to enable the company to achieve its objectives.
  • Ensure projects deliverables comply with design standards, legal regulations, environmental standards, and necessary permits.
  • Identify potential project risks and devise mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain relationships with stakeholders, including governments, local communities, suppliers, contractors, and team members.
  • Ensure the company delivers quality services to our clients.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure project standards and performance objectives are met.
  • Oversee and report on the project’s progress to senior management and stakeholders.

Competencies:
  • Technical knowledge in the energy sector.
  • Ability to consult with others to develop the level of knowledge required for the role. Utilise the company’s knowledge network to adopt best practices in approach to work.
  • Identify own training and development needs, ways to meet these needs and share knowledge with others.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Capable of prioritising and managing own workload using appropriate tools.
  • Acknowledges and acts upon the need for additional support from team members.
  • Articulate, providing clear explanations of ideas, job procedures etc. to others.
  • Capable of working well with people at all levels.
  • Ability to involve all members of the team in delivering objectives; professionals and support staff.
  • Proactive in showing others how things are done in order to improve the operation of the team.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, project management, or a related field. A master's degree can enhance qualifications.
  • Relevant certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), SACPCMP or Accredited.
