Job description

In this role, you will be an active member of the Service Energy Division Management team and the Service Community for Middle East and Africa, while also representing the South Africa business in the Global Service Arena.

You will contribute to growing After Sales businesses by helping our customers make their processes more energy efficient and sustainable.

You will be responsible for:

  1. Driving "Excellence in Sales" and supporting the business with a focus on after sales and service, proactively leading sales efforts within and across the Sales Company.
  2. Using data to analyze market gaps and devising strategies to enhance market presence, including creating business cases and investment plans.
  3. Maintaining a customer-first attitude and fostering a customer-focused team and sales environment.
  4. Developing and expanding a network of business partners to secure a consolidated indirect sales team.
  5. Gaining a deep understanding of industry trends, market drivers, and the competitive landscape.
  6. Owning the marketing plan and setting pricing strategies for the specific business.
  7. Introducing and selling new solutions directly to customers and the market.
  8. Coordinating large turnaround opportunities and serving as the main contact with central divisions and business units.
  9. Adapting new approaches to drive connected and digital services portfolios.
  10. Building organizational competencies in product and application areas.
  11. Being hands-on in exploring new markets, planning, and delivering results.
  12. Managing a strong team across Southeast Africa.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Aftermarket Sales Manager should have:

  1. Industry experience in heat exchanger needs across various industries.
  2. Experience with the service landscape and understanding customer expectations.
  3. Digital proficiency in developing and conducting business.
  4. Leadership qualities focused on developing teams and supporting families in operations.
  5. Business acumen including marketing analysis, contracts, pricing, sales, and marketing strategies.
  6. Knowledge of Profit & Loss, balance sheets, and cash flow management.
  7. Strong customer relations and negotiation skills, acting as the primary contact and trusted partner for divisional customers.
  8. Systems and solutions engineering knowledge, both technical and cost-related.
  9. High proficiency in heat exchanger core technology (preferred).
  10. Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  11. Background in chemical, mechanical engineering, or related fields; an MBA is advantageous.
  12. Strong networking skills within the relevant segments and with customers.
