Job summary

Crew Life at Sea Ltd. is seeking an energetic Activity Host to design and run engaging onboard events for cruise guests in Cape Town and throughout the voyage.

You will plan daily activities, host games, contests, and performances, and work with other departments to ensure smooth execution. The role requires strong communication, flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, and a dedication to safety and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in event planning or hosting is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
• CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organize daily activities and events for cruise ship passengers, including games, contests, and performances
• Engage with guests and create a fun and welcoming atmosphere
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth execution of activities
• Set up and clean up activity spaces
• Promote upcoming events and activities to guests
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment needed for activities
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols
• Provide excellent customer service and address any guest concerns or issues
• Attend training sessions and meetings as required
