Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in Cape Town is seeking a skilled Supply Chain Manager to oversee all aspects of supply chain management, including procurement, vendor relations, and logistics. Responsibilities include maintaining relationships, ensuring on-time delivery, managing stock control, and implementing production planning systems. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree and over 5 years of experience in supply chain management. This position offers a negotiable salary.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in operations or manufacturing.
• Degree in Supply Chain Management or pursuing a related degree (NQF 7).

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and logistics partners.
• Negotiate and manage supplier pricing for cost-effectiveness.
• Oversee stock control and maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Implement and sustain production planning systems to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Control and evaluate distribution channels while managing associated costs.
